Core Group

ODEF is governed by a Core Group of nine local people drawn from the ODEF membership, who all contribute their time voluntarily. Eight are elected at the Annual General Meeting, and one person is nominated to represent the District Council each year. The members represent a cross-section of the community and contribute their specialist knowledge to the organisation.

This year the members who comprise the Core Group are:

CHAIR

VICE-CHAIR

TREASURER

Ben Wells

Kate Hiseman

Christine Ford

Ben was the previous Mayor of Ollerton and Boughton. He is also Chair of the Sherwood Energy Village, which is on the former colliery site, and the Citizens’ Advice Bureau.

Kate is an environmental consultant who has been an ODEF member since 1996. She lives locally and leads on a number of ODEF's community projects.

Christine lives in Ollerton Village and is also the co-owner of a small business.

Other elected members are:
Paul Bradford, Andy Hollis, Mike Lindley and Jean Munroe. The nominated representatives from Nottinghamshire County Council and Newark and Sherwood District Council are Councillor Stella Smedley and Councillor Brian Smith, respectively.

ODEF employs seven paid staff, some on a part-time basis. David Heathcote is the Development Manager. Their principal areas of responsibility are:
