Core Group
ODEF is governed by a board of trustees named the 'Core Group' comprising seven local people drawn from the ODEF membership, who all contribute their time voluntarily. They are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting and represent a cross-section of the community. They all contribute their specialist knowledge to the organisation.

Ben has lived in Ollerton all his life and worked at the local colliery until his retirement. He is a local district councillor and former mayor of Ollerton. |
Paul worked at Ollerton Colliery until its closure and joined the board of the former Sherwood Energy Village in 1998. He is a business manager and leads the ODEF Disability Action Team. |
Christine lives in Ollerton Village and is a founder member of ODEF. She and her husband co-owned a small local business for many years. |
Other elected ODEF members are: Bob Murray, Richard Goodhand and Jean Munroe. The nominated representatives from Nottinghamshire County Council and Newark and Sherwood District Council are Councillor Stella Smedley and Councillor Abbi Truswell, respectively. Councillor Jason Ferguson is the elected representative from Ollerton and Boughton Town Council.
ODEF employs seven paid staff, some on a part-time basis. Their principal areas of responsibility are:
