ODEF firmly believes in community involvement and this means making the most of volunteering opportunities. Volunteers can work directly with ODEF on one of the Action Teams designed to tackle local issues, such as transport, tourism and disabled access. There are also numerous thriving community and voluntary groups in the ODEF area, many of which require support and the skills of new members. These groups are detailed in the Community Register.

As well as knowing that you are making a positive contribution to the community, volunteering can help you develop your self-confidence, gain new skills and even a new job. If you are interested in volunteering – even if you only have a small amount of time to give – please pop into the ODEF office and take a look at our Volunteering Noticeboard, which provides a wide variety of opportunities in the area. Alternatively, please telephone Carol at ODEF on 01623  863887 or email: carol@odef.org.uk
